BMC Mini - VTEC
The classic Mini rolled on surprisingly small factory steel wheels throughout most of its production run. Early Minis (1959-1967) came with tiny 10-inch steel wheels, typically 10x3.5 or 10x4.5 widths, mounted on a 4x4" (4x101.6mm) bolt pattern. Later models graduated to 12-inch and eventually 13-inch steel wheels, with most post-1984 Minis running 13x4.5 or 13x5 steel wheels on the same 4x101.6mm pattern, though some variants used 4x100mm.
The Mini's wheel wells were notoriously tight, but that compact size is part of its charm. Factory offset was typically around +20mm to +30mm, keeping those narrow wheels tucked nicely under the fenders. Some Cooper S variants and late-model special editions got slightly wider wheels, but even the sportiest factory setups rarely exceeded 5.5 inches in width.
For your Mini, our VTO vintage aluminum wheels work perfectly with the 4x100mm and 4x101.6mm bolt patterns we stock. Popular upgrades include our 13x5.5, 13x6, or even 13x7 sizes for that classic look with modern aluminum construction. The 10x6 option gives you that authentic early Mini vibe but with way better strength than those original skinny steels - perfect for this British icon that defined small car cool.

Frequently Asked Questions
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| What's the factory bolt pattern on a BMC Mini? | Most BMC Minis used a 4x4" (4x101.6mm) bolt pattern, though some later models switched to 4x100mm. VTO Wheels stocks both 4x100mm and 4x101.6mm patterns, so we've got your Mini covered regardless of year. |
| What VTO Wheels sizes fit my Mini? | For stock replacement, try our 10x6 or 13x5.5 wheels. Popular upgrades include 13x6, 13x7, or even 14x5.5 if you want to go slightly larger. The Mini's tight wheel wells limit your options, but these sizes maintain that classic proportional look. |
| Do I need hub-centric rings for my Mini? | Most likely, yes. Mini hub bores varied over the years but were typically smaller than modern aftermarket wheels. We'll include the proper hub-centric rings to ensure a perfect, vibration-free fit when you order. |
| What offset should I run on my Mini? | Stock Mini offset was around +20mm to +30mm, which keeps wheels nicely tucked. Our VTO wheels range from -7mm to +38mm offset, so we can match factory specs or give you a slightly more aggressive stance while clearing those tight fenders. |
| How does shipping work? | Orders are shipped as soon as the machining process is completed. Please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery. Expedited shipping is available for $50 per order (up to 4 wheels). Orders are not processed or shipped on Saturday or Sunday, except by prior arrangement. All orders include full damage/loss insurance. |
| How can I contact sales and support at VTO? | You can reach our customer support team by emailing sales@vtowheels.com, or by calling us at 1 (866) 855-3473, or using the live chat on our website. |
| What is your return policy? | We accept returns for manufacturing defects and fulfillment errors. Orders have a 24-hour cancellation window, after which cancellations will not be accepted due to custom machining. Orders will not be accepted for return after tires have been mounted. |
