4x4.5" Bolt Pattern Wheels (4x114.3mm)

4x4.5" is one of the most common four-lug patterns on classic sports cars, and the metric figure, 4x114.3mm, is the same circle. It is the one bolt pattern a Triumph TR6 and a Datsun 240Z have in common.

These are the cars we fit on 4x4.5":

The listing below is everything we make on this pattern. Pick a wheel style, then narrow by size and offset. Or call Alex at 866-855-3473 and he will narrow it for you.

Same bolt pattern, different wheel

Two cars on 4x4.5" can still need completely different wheels. Bolt pattern only tells you where the studs are. The center bore has to clear the hub, and the offset has to put the tire where the arch and the suspension expect it. A wheel that is perfect on a 510 can rub on a TR3.

That is why the listing filters by offset and hub bore as well as size. Start from your car, not from the pattern.

Wire wheel cars need a different hub

MGAs, MGBs and the TR range were also sold on wire wheels, and a wire wheel car has splined hubs with a single center nut instead of four studs. A 4x4.5" wheel will not go on that hub. To run bolt-on wheels you need the disc wheel hubs, or you can keep the splined hubs and look at our 42mm spline-drive wheels instead.

Six-cylinder or V8? Check before you order

On the early Mustang and the Falcon, the six-cylinder cars came with four studs on 4.5" and the V8 cars came with five. The circle is the same size. The stud count is not. Count the studs on your car, because engine swaps and axle swaps are common on both. Five-stud cars belong on our 5x4.5" page.

4x114.3mm vs 4x110mm on the RX-7

Mazda changed patterns between RX-7 generations. The first generation (SA and FB) is 4x110mm, and the FC that followed is 4x114.3mm. The two circles are 4.3mm apart, close enough that a wheel will look right sitting against the hub. If you are on an early car, ask us about 4x110mm wheels instead.

Should I verify my bolt pattern before ordering?

Yes, always verify your bolt pattern before placing an order. Vintage and classic cars can have unique or uncommon bolt patterns, and specifications sometimes varied between model years or production runs. If you're ever unsure about your fitment, the team at VTO Wheels is happy to help. Reach out at sales@vtowheels.com or call 1 (866) 855-3473.
