5x4.75" Bolt Pattern Wheels (5x120.65mm)
5x4.75" is the classic GM pattern, written 5x120.65mm in metric and often shortened to "five on four and three quarters." It is also on two cars most people would not expect: Jaguars and the MGC.
Cars we fit on 5x4.75":
- Chevrolet Corvair 1960-1964
- Chevrolet Corvair 1965-1969
- Chevrolet Camaro 1967-1969
- Pontiac GTO 1964-1974
- Jaguar XJ6 / XJ12 1968-1978
- Jaguar E-Type (XKE), disc wheel cars
- MG MGC 1967-1969
The listing below is our full 5x4.75" range. For a Corvair or an MGC especially, a call to Alex at 866-855-3473 is worth it.
5x120.65 is not 5x120
BMW uses 5x120mm. GM uses 5x120.65mm. That is 0.65mm across the circle, and on the car it is under half a millimeter between neighboring studs. A BMW wheel will go on a Camaro and tighten down.
It will also be held on by the nuts rather than the hub, and the nuts will be pulled slightly sideways every time they are torqued. Some people run it anyway. We do not recommend it.
The MGC is not an MGB
The MGC looks like an MGB with a bulge in the hood, but it carried a six-cylinder engine and its own suspension, and its disc wheels are five-stud on 4.75". MGB wheels, on 4x4.5", do not fit.
Corvair: every year is five-lug
All Corvairs, early and late, use 5x4.75". What they do not share with a Camaro is weight balance. The engine is in the back, so offset and tire size matter more than on a front-engine Chevy. Do not size Corvair wheels off a Camaro chart.
Jaguars on wire wheels
Most E-Types were sold on wire wheels with splined hubs, and those cars have no studs at all. If yours is a wire wheel car, these wheels need a hub change first. XJ6 and XJ12 sedans are bolt-on from the factory.
Should I verify my bolt pattern before ordering?
Yes, always verify your bolt pattern before placing an order. Vintage and classic cars can have unique or uncommon bolt patterns, and specifications sometimes varied between model years or production runs. If you're ever unsure about your fitment, the team at VTO Wheels is happy to help. Reach out at sales@vtowheels.com or call 1 (866) 855-3473.
Call Alex at 866-855-3473 with the car and the year. GM, Jaguar or MG, he will know the hub.
